Mary Toole began her career on the road, wholesaling financial products for Nuveen, MFS, and Govett. A decade and one child later, she unpacked her bags and settled in as Director of Education Communications for Strong Retirement Plan Services. At Strong, Mary helped write, deliver, and evaluate an award-winning retirement education program. 

After her second child was born, Mary sought better work-life balance. Her solution was to start a business providing financial copywriting and consulting to financial services firms across the country. The company’s clients include T. Rowe Price, Carson Coaching Group, Bank of the West, and Northwestern Mutual.

Wholesaling helped Mary develop a thorough understanding of diverse financial products and planning concepts, as well as the nuances of communicating with various financial services audiences. As a financial writer, one of Mary’s greatest strengths is her ability to explain complex ideas clearly, in language that receives securities compliance approval with few changes.

Mary received a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  She lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with her husband, Sam. Mary writes poetry, hikes trails, finds calm in yoga, and delights in her family.
